Jesse McCree, now known as Cole Cassidy, is a damage hero in the Overwatch universe. He is a gunslinging outlaw with a complicated past.
Born in the southwestern United States, McCree joined the notorious Deadlock Gang in his youth, becoming a prominent member known for his sharpshooting skills.
His criminal career was cut short when Overwatch apprehended him during a sting operation. Offered a choice between imprisonment and joining Blackwatch, Overwatch's covert ops division, McCree chose the latter.
Under the leadership of Gabriel Reyes (later Reaper), McCree honed his skills and participated in morally ambiguous missions. Disillusioned by Blackwatch's corruption and Overwatch's eventual downfall, McCree disappeared.
He resurfaced years later as a vigilante gunslinger, seeking to right past wrongs and fight for what he believes is just. He's known for his Peacekeeper revolver and combat roll, often delivering justice with the phrase "High Noon."
